The Monk's Yard Church

Welcome to MY Church; we are a community of people of all ages and from all backgrounds aspiring to be real, relevant and relational. Called to be a worshipping people living in intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus and learning to live in loving relationships with those around us - a church in the market place.

Based on the site of an old monastery the leaders felt God calling them to pick up where the Monk’s left off and carry on loving, serving and praying for their community. Formerly a dairy farm, when the cow’s went and the dairy operation ceased the Osborne family had no idea just how big God’s plan was for the Monks Yard. Now we have the privilege to meet on a site that is bustling with people throughout the week, a place people come to work, come to relax, come to eat and to socialise.

We believe MY Church is the heart beat of all that happens here at the Monk’s Yard. With our roots strongly planted in prayer and hospitality (food!) you will find most of our gatherings revolve around one of these two things! We have a dedicated prayer room open 24/7, a growing youth ministry, are home to global medical charity Project Hope, and support local charity the Lords Larder, delivering food aid to those most in need in our community.
